Haha, Im quite far off from that as is. I think the Fastest 6spd Eaton(no Spray) is into the 10.40's

I am gunning for 10's though off the spray, its a bit more doable, but still a long way to get there.

Yeah cant get much more than he already did aside from front seats and door panels interior wise. Solid swap and Tubular K are probably worth 160-220 pounds so that will help. Auto makes a big diff though.

But for the money of a solid you can buy a Whipple and just do it with more power though cutting a 1.3 60 would be awesome.

Out of the interior.. other than what i mentioned? The front seats are good for about 50 -60 pounds with a light seat going back in. Short of pulling the dash i dont see how you could pull any more weight. He already had the whole rear apart. In total i think he took out 2oo pounds of interior shit when at mission i am saying there isnt much more to be had than the seats and center console. But have at her lol .

I agree, without ruining the car for the street.

Jake will admit this is basically a track/race car now.  He has manual steering, no A/C, manual brakes I think(similar to what Ratt Fink has done, but Ratt runs 9.8X @ 140mph with a 6 speed/solid axle)

I believe Jakes cobra is just over 3350lbs with him in it for a race weight.

I weighed my car out in Mission:
Draglites up Front
16" SN95 Wheels
Passenger Seat Removed
Rear Seat Removed
All panels in the trunk out
Spare Tire/Jack removed

Probably 1/3 tank of fuel

It weighed 3625 with me in it
3400 without

I agree with Adam. Other than swapping seats which would maybe drop 50lbs, there isnt much more to lose. Yeah I could unbolt the Mach 460 amp rack...which is another 30lbs or so. Its just that the damn IRS is so heavy compared to a Solid Axle. Like Schyler said, the silver car is pretty much a dedicated race car with manual brakes/steering, no a/c. It takes away the comforts of everyday driving.

There are aluminum bumpers that save 8-12lbs off the nose I think.  Most tubular k's are about 60lbs for the 03-04 Cobra, give or take, but like you said right off the nose where we need it.  Should help with launches.  I want a PSR unit, but the bitches are basically $1000.

Cro mo tubular inner bumper front and rear, lighter seat, tubular K/a arms and coil overs, sound deadner, mach 460 amp rack ........... there is a lot of weight that could still be pulled.

But I think most of us look at it like why, these cars hit the streets far too much and for long cruises sometimes.  I know my car will average at least 10,000kms a summer.  Sound deadner with how loud my car is will stay  Thumbsup

I think Jason has done very well with what he has removed, even the stuff he pulled to get down to the weight was quite a bit and not how the car will run 90% of the time.

My mach amp rach is gone, aftermarket deck is in with speakers, I didn't mind tossing that crap.  The lightweight seats would be a nice addition!

Yeah ... for nice seats though you are talking BUC's lol im not going to go cruising around in aluminum race seats with a cover

1) im to fat and it would hurt my ass
2) im fat and like cushy seats lol
3) im not baller enough to drop 3grand on seats.

I agree there is a fair amount of weight that can be dropped from race form but not in street trim. With the cage ill probably do a rear seat delete next year as i cant have a bolt in belt bar.

American Muscle is selling the Corbeau LG1's at a decent price.

I priced out a set, pair of seats, brackets and shipping....1100usd all in. Not a bad deal in my eyes.

I may do a Tubular K eventually, but thats is still a year or 2 down the road.

You ever sat in them or rode in them?

They are a lot more comfortable then one would think if installed properly.

No I have never tried them Neil, would be curious to see.  However driving to swift current in those seats I bet my ass goes numb.

They are actually quite comfortable... on a drive to swift you might want to stop and stretch once or twice but I really dont think they are any worse then what a lot of stock cars come with.
